Why don't you transfer the vector from real space to k-space.

I've spent almost 4 months as your question.

Please check a solid state physics book and you see the reciprocal lattice.

when you chek it, set the vector a1,a2,a3 as
a1 = ((sqrt 3)/2 , 0.5, 0)
a2 = ((sqrt 3)/2 , -0.5, 0)
a3 = ( 0, 0, c)

then
b1 = (1/(sqrt3), 1, 0)
b2 = (1/(sqrt3), -1, 0)
b3 = this is not important.

Good luck.

Hi,everyone
I am a new MPB user. When I try to simulate the ctl files in examples, I have a problem.
When I am trying the tri-rods ctl file, I could not understand why the K wavevector in irreducible Brillouin zone is (vector3 -1/3, 1/3, 0). I chceked the book,"Molding the flow of light",it seems that the K point should be (vector3 1/3, 1/3,0), and I can not find out where I was wrong. Please help me!
Thanks a lot!
Bing
