doubt with rectangular cell

Dear all,

I am simulating a structure which is composed by a
rectangular cell.

The input file is something like this:

(set! geometry-lattice (make lattice (size 1 1
no-size) 
(basis1 (vector3 1 0 0)) (basis2 (vector3 0 1 0))
(basis-size 0.5 1 1)))

(set! geometry (list
(make cylinder (center 0 0) (material air) (radius
0.25) (height infinity))
(make block (center 0 0) (material air) (size .3 .3
infinity))
))

I have two question about the use of a rectangular
cell:

1. what are the differences between "basis-size" and
"size" in lattice properties ('cause I do not think
they are redundant...)? Is there any difference in
using these 2 options and the actual shapes of the
objects defined in ctl files??

2. if I plot the epsilon directly with h5topng I get
an ellips and a rectangle, whereas if I use map-data
(with but also) WITHOUT the "-r" option, I get a
circle and a square. Which is the real simulated
structure?
