specifying a slice

Dear meep users I want to get a png output of a .ctl file I run the program and whenever i want to look at the epsilon.h5 I try this : h5topng -x O -S 3 -Zc /usr/share/h5utils/colormaps/gray epsilon.h5 the error is this : h5topng error : invalid slice argument how can I solve this problem ?
