Second order dispersion calculation + HDF linking problem

Hi all,

1. As i got from the manual MPB has a command for group velocity
calculation, but is there any straight way to calculate the second
order dispersion  (d^2w/d^2k) ?

2. I used the pre-compiled packages for meep and mpb, meep can link to
hdf but mpb can't, would you please send some helping notes on this
problem, do consider that I'm a new kid in Linux prompt.
