Hi everybody, I have been trying to simulate the band structure for an 3D inverse opal of silicon with eps ~ 12.25. I have defined two concentric spheres one of radius 'a' and dielectric 1 at (0 0 0) and the other of radius 'b' (slightly smaller than a) at position (0 0 0) with dielectric 2. I am not sure how to write the code for the windows interconnecting the hollow sphere cavities. This can have large implications of the band structure for the material as new stop bands open for frequencies above that of the first pseudo PBG (gamma-L) Does anyone know to write the script to model these interconnecting windows? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
