Hi Norbert, thanks for your fast response and please apologize my late answer. I tried with "numarray" and "Numeric" several times, with make uninstall and make distclean always. Superficially it compiles, but I get hundreds of compiler warnings. If anybody wants to read the compiler output, feel free to contact me. The sg-GUI starts in both cases, I have menues and worksheets and plot areas, but it's impossible to work with it. When I open one of the examples shipped with the source package, I see numbers in the datasheet, but the plot areas stay white and empty. When I enter values into the datasheet all digits after the decimal separator are cut off. In the case I use a "," as separator the decimal places are automatically entered in the next line. Anyway, after playing around some minutes it crashes. > No, for me it did not. (Seems the file is not used, but the build scripts > expect it to be there.) IMHO there are some more issues in the configure/make stuff. E.g. it also warns me "missing script is too old or missing". The parameters the ./missing is called with from ./configure are not supported by the ./missing script indead. But the crucial point is, that there's no complete overview about the packages that are required for the installation and the required version of these packages. There is no Install-FAQ, no Documentation, no Binaries ... I'd like to offer my help for improvement of the homepage and documentation, translations, testing and maybe packing binaries, but first of all I need to *compile* the program. So, hopefully Norbert is able to help with the autoconf/automake stuff. I'll keep on figuring out, what is missing on my box for proper compilation.
