hello All,

Hope I'm not wasting your time (I'm just a user not a developer) but I've
almost got SG running. I've installed it, along with all of the other
needed modules/programs, but upon starting SG, I get a couple of errors.

1. Cannot load prefernces - Restoring defaults
2. Couldn't import module 'Numeric'
3. Couldn't import module 'gtk'

here is the verbose error log:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "<string>", line 1, in ?
AttributeError: 'pickle' module has no attribute 'Unpickler'
>>>> ImportError: No module named Numeric
ImportError: No module named gtk

I checked in the Configuration and I think the paths to the modules are
incorrect but when I modify the paths in the Configure wondow, these
changes are not reflected when I reopen SG (I guess that's error #1
above).
The current paths are all for python2.1 but the needed subdirectories are
found under python2.2 on my system.
When I add the correct path to the numeric module:
/usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/Numeric then click 'Apply', I get a

Segmentation fault
Project successfully saved to /home/username/#rescue#untitiled.sg

Please submit bug report to
youKnowWhere...

I also get a segmentation fault if I try to input numbers in the
worksheet. Is there a known problem running with python2.2? Do I need to
uninstall that version and install an older version of python and numpy?

thanks,
Blake
