Hi again,

there seems to be new stuff in CVS although WebCVS still shows old
files. Can that be?
Anyway, I checked out libscigraphica and tried to build configure. I
told autogen.sh to use automake and aclocal 1.7, but did not succeed.
autoconf fails, what I get is:

Locating m4 macro language processor... found: /usr/bin/m4
    Building files for libtool... done.
    Building aclocal.m4... done.
    Building files for gettext...
    done.
aclocal: configure.in: 65: macro `AM_ACLOCAL_INCLUDE' not found in
library
aclocal: configure.in: 170: macro `AM_PATH_GTK_EXTRA' not found in
library
Building configure... aclocal.m4:933: error: m4_defn: undefined
macro: _m4_divert_diversion
    autoconf/programs.m4:163: AC_PATH_PROG is expanded from...
    aclocal.m4:933: the top level
    autom4te: /usr/bin/m4 failed with exit status: 1

    Error while building configure

When I run gettextize -c -f manually, it says the following

Please use AM_GNU_GETTEXT([external]) in order to cause
autoconfiguration
to look for an external libintl.

Please update po/Makevars so that it defines all the variables mentioned
    in po/Makevars.template.
    You can then remove po/Makevars.template.

Please run 'aclocal -I m4' to regenerate the aclocal.m4 file.
You need aclocal from GNU automake 1.5 (or newer) to do this.
Then run 'autoconf' to regenerate the configure file.

You might also want to copy the convenience header file gettext.h
from the /usr/share/gettext directory into your package.
It is a wrapper around <libintl.h> that implements the configure
--disable-nls
    option.

Press Return to acknowledge the previous four paragraphs.

My system is Fedora Core 2.
Just a question... If autogen.sh works for you, Adrian, would it be
possible to just commit a working 'configure' to CVS?

Thanks, Nick.
