Finally, after a year or so of steady work, I get to make fans smile,
and skeptics concede! libscigraphica and sg1 are in CVS. This is the deal:

- The packages can be obtained from the CVS repository as
"libscigraphica" and "sg1".
- install gtkextra (1.0.0, cvs version)
- install libscigraphica (works with gtk+-1, for now. Porting to gtk+-2
should be straightforward, and I'm planning to do it after your reports)
- install sg1

As you can see, all widgets and dialogs (GUI stuff) has been moved to
libscigraphica. libsg also provides the plugin support. Libscigraphica
also includes two test programs: testplot and testsheet. Libscigraphica
will also allow to embed plots in applications in a tranparent way, with
all the interface and dialogs provided by the libraries.

Plugins provided:
- basic layers (2D, Polar, 3D)
- basic styles (scatter, lines, contour, etc)
- dataset iterators to retrieve the data (function, worksheet, file,
matrix, python)
- toolbars
- menus
- arrays (for data editting, used for custom labels and ticks)

I hope you all concede that this has represented a lot of work, and you
forgive me for so many delays.

Known issues: Python is partly broken. Our Python guru has given up some
time ago, and I've been trying to cope with his departure, We'll all
miss him ;-) I count with him for some advice and support, but I need
help with this. Any volunteers will be very welcome.

Well, gtkextra-2 and gtkextra-2 are there, practically ready for
release. I need some fresh reports (installation problems?,
suggestions?) to do the fine-tunning on libscigraphica and sg1.

Waiting for you feedback. Enjoy!
