Resetting axes ticks?

	Prior to the latest changes to gtkextra-2, I was able to successfully
change the number & increment of ticks in a plot by simply calling
gtk_plot_axis_set_ticks().  I could call it repeatedly, and my changes
would always be reflected with the canvas repainted the plot.

	However, now my changes only stick the first time.  I call
gtk_plot_axis_set_ticks() and it works once.  Everytime I call it after
that it seems to do nothing, even though I am repainting the
canvas/plot, etc.

	Ideas where to look?
