Hi Al, I don't know what the problem could be. I played with it using 
testgtkplot, and the text appears as usual.
I'm using gtk_plot_put_text, and everything works fine. You are sure you 
are not messing up with the x,y coordinates, right? Remember that they 
correspond to percentages of the plot size, so they should be <= 1. Can 
you modify testgtkplot to reproduce your problem? Thank you!
