need help

Hi group,
	I'm new to this group and I need a help regarding the development of
gtksheet. I've downloaded the gtk+extra-0.99.17.tar.gz and installed in the
linux machine. I downloaded the above from the site
www.gtkextra.sourceforge.net.
While installing I extracted the contents of the above tar.gz to a folder
and then followed all the instructions in the 'INSTALL' file. My aim is to
to develop an application which can generate a spreadsheet like window and
the code should be in C language. Found gtksheet suits the purpose. I would
like to know how a sample program in which gtkextra api's are included is
compiled? Now, I'm going through the gtk study material so that I can get an
idea about how the gtk application are coded, how it is compiled etc. In
that gtk study material, I have seen that while compiling gtk+-2.0 library
is included. If 'm compiling an application which has gtkextra api calls
then how do I link and include the libraries? And Is there any documents or
pdf available that explains compiling and running of application build with
gtkextra api's? If anybody knows the solution please reply as soon as
possible.
