I sent in (almost exactly) this patch about a year ago (6/8/06) by email and Adrian fixed it in CVS. The email archive seems to be down sadly. I've had to make my own gtkextra and paste the source into my application until this is released :-( not very satisfactory. Like you, I've made a numberof other improvements too. Maybe we should coordinate?
