Re: Wish list for EndNote development?

I support this wish. The OpenOffice community is worldwide and growing. 
It is well represented in academia. If EndNote is not willing to produce
a working integration into OpenOffice the free Zotero extension will
take its market. It's as simple as that.

BTW Zotero's main advantage is its ease through which you can reap
bibliographic information via the internet and remote data bases. There
is a sort of CiteAsYouWrite module in OpenOffice and an integration into
MS Word, too. Citations can be tagged, linked, noted. In the foreseeable
future the sharing of Zotero data bases will be enabled. You can export
and import via the RIS format. Pdf files can be indexed though I never
used that function.

The great advantage of EndNote is its wide distribution, or you may say,
its monopoly position in academia. I was once obliged to buy the heavily
priced EN as I collaborated in a project with several university people
that all used EndNote. Today I see no longer the necessity to use
EndNote.
