RE: bug? (changing _names_ of reference types)

This is a known bug in EndNote X1. The workaround is to click in the
cell below the Reference Type (normally the Author field) and then arrow
up to the column heading. You will be able to edit the text in that cell
now.

Hello,

This question concerns a change from endnote X to endnote X1.  In
Endnote X it was possible to change the name of a reference type (edit >
preferences... > reference types) by clicking on the first field named
"Generic".  I used this to translate reference types into French and to
hide unneeded reference types by adding a period before the title. 

In Endnote X1, I can no longer edit this field, despite the fact that
the same message appears ("To hide an unwanted reference type, add a
period before the name  (e.g., ".Map") in the column heading below.").
This leads me to believe this is just a bug that may be ironed out in an
upcoming patch?

I have searched the archive and have not found this issue / bug
mentioned.  For the time being, of course, it is possible to work around
the problem by searching and replacing in the XML file with a text
editor, but I wondered if I am overlooking something obvious (like a
preference somewhere that locks write access to the contents of the
"generic" field).
