Issue with periods stripped from end of abstracts

RIS Import filters that come with RefMan strip the periods from the ends
of abstracts.  

This is true of both recent versions of "RIS.cap" and "RIS Format (Add
Periods).cap" downloaded from RefMan site.  

Tinkering I've done with Filter Editor has not been successful.  

Anyone figure out fix for this Import Filter problem?
