RE: Word 2007 not compatible with Endnote X

I am not sure your patron may be experiencing problems with EN10 and
Word 2007.  I have been using both on several computers (as I teach it)
and have not had any conflicts whatsoever.  I recall having to:

Go to "customize quick action toolbar"
Click add-ins in left frame
In "manage" at bottom of screen, select "word add-ins", click go Add
appropriate templates

came in with problems trying to open Endnote X with her Word 2007 a few
weeks ago. We checked the "Getting Started Guide" for Endnote X and X1.
We found that:
Endnote X is compatible with Word for Windows 2000, XP & 2003.
Endnote X1 is compatible with Word for Windows 2000, XP, 2003 & 2007.
Maybe your co-worker needs the next version of Endnote.

A co-worker is using Word 2007 in compatibility mode. She was working in
a particular file using Track Changes for several weeks. Then she
installed Endnote and she noticed that Word 2007 kept freezing when she
was working with footnotes.  

One time when the problem surfaced, she saw an error  message and
thought she saw the word "Endnote" in the text of the error. She
uninstalled Endnote and has not had a problem in that file since.

I cannot reproduce the problem. I am working in a copy of the file that
gave her problems and have deleted and inserted footnotes successfully.

Are there known problems with endnote and footnotes in word 2007?

She is using Office 2007 and Endnote X.
