Word-Endnote problem

I have a new computer, and I cannot get the Endnote (XI.0.1) add-in to
show up in Word (2003, Windows XP). I have run the Endnote configuration
utility, but this does not help. When I start Word, I get the following
message (in an Endnote message box):  "The specified Word library cannot
be unloaded because it is in use." Endnote does not show up in the Tools
menu.  Can someone help?
