Index filtering by filename

Hello,

Is it possible to filter, skip, or ignore specific files by name instead 
of MIME type? I run an Apache web server with multiple "index.html" 
files in various sub directories that I would prefer were not included 
in the omindex database.

I've read thru the overview, but nothing immediately jumps out to me 
that has this functionality.
