RE: Beginning a Career In Network Security

Whatever you learn as a CISSP and CCIE-Security can pretty much be carried
over to Juniper, Foundry, Extreme, and etc.  Besides, those other four I
mention do not have a security specific certification at this time.  I know
they have certifications ranging from more difficult than the CCIE to about
the same as the CCNP (medium difficulty).

Like you said, Un*x is a definite plus.
