SASL 2.1.27 pre-release 1

I have just built a first pre-release of SASL 2.1.27 which can be 
downloaded from here for the time being:

Note that the documentation is not ready because we haven't added the 
autoconf foo to build it yet.

At this point I'm mostly concerned with build issues and any binary 
incompatibilities (I don't believe there are any).
