Questions about Cyrus SASL 2.1.27 release

I am building a new Cyrus SASL plugin to expose a proprietary authentication mechanism. I want to use only a stable Cyrus SASL release and I am concerned that the last stable release (2.1.26 right ?) is nearly 4 years old. I see some discussion about a 2.1.27 release, on the mailing list. When will 2.1.27 be officially released?
