The FQDN _is_ all lowercase (in both localhost and srv4 variants), the
uppercase bit is the Kerberos realm, which usually IS all uppercase,
and therefore quite correct.

I've seen something similar, when connecting to slapd over the
ldapi:/// sockets, rather than TCP, but not sure if that matches
what's being seen here.
