IPSec IKEv1 and IKEv2 problem

Hello list,

The configuration:

  Embedded-1.32 image
  PC Engines ALIX2

We are sucessfully using IPSec over several such routers, but would
like to support mobile IPSec clients using the IKEv2 protocol. It
seems that m0n0wall only supports IKEv1, and that is why our mobile
clients can't connect.

The mobile clients are using StrongSwan which seems to only support
IKEv2. From http://wiki.strongswan.org/wiki/1/NetworkManager

'NetworkManager uses DBUS to communicate with a
plugin loaded by the IKEv2 charon daemon.'

QUESTIONS

1) Does m0n0wall only support IKEv1?

2) Does StrongSwan only support IKEv2?

3) Can either be easily rebuilt to support both IKEv1 and IKEv2?

4) Will the developers please include IKEv2 in the next m0n0wall?

Thanks,
Michael
