Updating to 2.0-RC3 from 1.2.3

If I am doing something wrong, please let me know. I am doing a automatic
update from the webmanager and I have had to reinstall the two boxes many
times so far. It corrupts the entire disk making it it unable to boot fully.
When I try to install from CD for RC3 it keeps telling me that the disk
geometry does not match label but does not do it for 1.2.3-STABLE.
Any ideas?
