So it was not a download manager, it was a carefully crafter ad-spam 
phish.  Suckered me, and I am not new...

Also installed grillaprice, which was a fun puzzle to remove. :)  But I 
found a real link...

contributer is using adfly to link back to himself for refer $$$...

Not sure how to deal with this, but I think the adfly link should not be 
promoted.
