There are various workarounds here. I have a mail server on orange but had
the same issues with regard to laptops. I ended up implementing the GREEN to
GREEN masq. mod as provided by Frank711 in this post:

This way, everyone uses the external IP of the mail server (both inside and
outside). The mod allows clients on GREEN to get to the mail server using
the RED  address. You should probably read the whole sticky that the above
link takes you to. You might find that one of the other methods provided is
more to your liking.
