I am very pleased to announce the launch of a new peer-reviewed journal 
called Digital Investigation - The International Journal of Digital 
Forensics and Incident Response. Papers are currently invited for 
review and publication in Digital Investigation, to be published by 
Elsevier from March 2004. Contributions are invited in the following 
areas:

- Theoretical Research: Discovery and experimentation of digital 
forensic principles

- Applied Research: Tailoring of "agreed upon" principles into 
procedures that can be
easily implemented for conducting network, computer and software 
forensics,
to build a corroborated chain of evidence.

- Practice: Methods and tools for conducting effective digital 
investigations

- Legal: Legislative developments and limitations, new defences, and 
privacy

- Standards, Policy & Ethics: Overarching considerations, accreditation

certification
