Wireless Honeypot - Simulating traffic?

I'm building a honeypot on a Wireless Linksys WRT54G
(running openWRT (http://openwrt.org)).
Is there more information about simulating traffic?
Because I also want it to be stand-alone.
I have seen the little perl scripts but maybe someone
got another idea or interesting link.
When everything is completed, I will post the link to the
documentation and software.
