prelude-manager not cooperating with pgsql nicely..

Hi,

Has anyone had problems with prelude-manager throwing errors like this:

could not insert message into database: Query error: ERROR:  invalid
input syntax for type bytea .

I am also getting errors about it trying to insert too many characters
into varchar(255) fields in my Postgresql database.  Any help would be
greatly appreciated.
