Quick note:  you are alienating the only people who can help you.
I don't work for Prelude Technologies.  I am an Open Source developer 
that works on this project in my free time.  I am also probably the most 
active "pure" (not-for-pay) member of the development team.  Your 
talking to me like this makes me want to ensure that you *don't* get any 
help.
Let's look at your request:
*  I can't come up with a scenario in which I'd want to run multiple 
prelude-manager systems on the same host.
*  No one else has ever indicated that this is something they'd want to, 
either.
*  As a result of the above, it's assumed that 99% of the user community 
has no use for the "feature" you're requesting (although you call it a bug).
*  Right now the development team is focused on getting the correlation 
engine publicly released, which has been requested and discussed for 
years, so it's something we *know* a good portion of the user-base wants.
As a result, your request is *low* on our list of things to do.  We'll 
accept it as needing to get done, but there are other, more important 
things that demand our attention right now.
If you choose to continue using Open Source Prelude, you need to accept 
that the things that are "show stoppers" to you, are not going to be 
show stoppers to us.  We are volunteers.  You don't have any right to 
demand *anything* out of us.
Normally we try hard to keep up with user requests, and make Prelude the 
best that we can, but we only have so many resources to devote to 
development.
So, what solutions do you have?  Well, you can either develop the 
solution yourself and submit a patch (hey, isn't that what Open Source 
is about?), or you can purchase a support contract to ensure that 
development resources get devoted to your request.
I don't benefit by your buying a support contract.  You said it was 
urgent, so I suggested it.  There's a triad for software 
development...Good - Fast - Cheap.  You can choose two.  You use the 
word "Urgent", so you must need "Fast."  You're also using Open Source 
Prelude, so you've accepted "Cheap."  Sorry, you can't have "Good," 
too.  You *can* have "Good" and "Cheap," but you need to wait (because 
you can't have "Fast.")  If you want "Good" and "Fast," then sorry, 
buddy, you have to pay.
Your choice.  Give me a reason to want to help you, because I don't have 
one now.
