Hello all, I previously posted this message to the users forum but I didn't get a responce. I'm getting a segmentation fault on a snort machine (FC5) while attempting to register the snort sensor profile to the prelude manager. It seems very similar to what is described here: http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.security.ids.prelude.user/2807 I'm using libprelude-0.9.13-1.fc5.rpm on both the snort both and the prelude mgr box (also fc5). The prelude-manager is installed on the mgr box but is not up and running. the output on the prelude mgr box is: ... -Sending Certificate to client -::ffff:<ipaddy>:<port> successfully registered the output on the snort box is: ... -Sending certificate request -Receiving signed certificate Segmentation Fault I have a core dump if that would help. I can upload it to some file sharing site and then provide a link here if that would help. ... the core indicates that the segfault was from: 0x001fea00 in rawmemchr () from /lib/lib.so.6 I didn't do a stack trace, but like I said ... if you need the core dump, let me know ...
