Hi ya,

I've just installed the latest libprelude on our test environment and after
I have registered a new sensor, and trying to start Snort daemon, I got the
following message:

{{{
ERROR: prelude-failover: Unable to initialize prelude client: error opening '/var/spool/prelude/snort/global/data0': Permission denied.
}}}

When I check the permissions of the /var/spool/prelude/snort directory, I
see it has been created with the following permissions:

drw-r-x---  4 snort  snort  512 Oct 17 13:50 /var/spool/prelude/snort/global

Somehow, it doesn't set the owner access.
When I have changed the rights myself and restart Snort again, I got the
following message again:

{{{
ERROR: prelude-failover: Unable to initialize prelude client: error opening '/var/spool/prelude/snort/_tmp_prelude-manager.sock/data0': Permission denied.
}}}

Same problem here:
drw-r-x---  2 snort  snort  512 Oct 17 13:50 /var/spool/prelude/snort/_tmp_prelude-manager.sock

I have the following libprelude release together with dependicies:

Information for libprelude-0.9.16:

Dependency: python24-2.4.4
Dependency: pkg-config-0.21
Dependency: libiconv-1.9.2_2
Dependency: gettext-0.16.1_3
Dependency: libgpg-error-1.5
Dependency: libgcrypt-1.2.4_1
Dependency: gnutls-1.6.3

Kind regards,
