Comment:

 it seems that 'modified' patch got it all wrong:
 this is the check:

 #if ! defined(ENOTSUP) && defined(ENOTSUPP)
 # define ENOTSUP ENOTSUPP
 #endif

 ENOTSUPP is not defined on OpenBSD
 EOPNOTSUPP is though, as per original posting.
