ePO and prelude

I'm working on creating some agents for different type of sources. 
Some of these are specific to the company I'm doing these for, others are more generic. 
One of these is a mcAfee ePO interface. 
I am currently trying to gain access to the SQL database that stores the ePO information, but before i take a look at what is stored there and how it can be used, i wanted to find out if somebody already has experience with creating an agent that uses ePO as a source.
If nobody has created this in the past, would it be useful to submit it here? or is it something that isn't needed outside of my (narrow) scope.
