Solved. I had to add the $INSTALL_DIR/lib/python2.6/site-packages into my environment path.

Subject: FW: error running prelude-correlator

Just thought I would ask again to see if anyone had any input on why I might get pkg_resources.DistributionNotFound: prelude-correlator==1.0.0 messages after manual installation of PC 1.0.0 and running the prelude correlator. This is an Ubuntu 10.04 machine.

Subject: error running prelude-correlator

Hi,

I am a veteran user of the prelude system, but I am having trouble manually install and run prelude-correlator 1.0.0 on the following Ubuntu distribution:

Linux 2.6.32-31-generic #61-Ubuntu SMP Fri Apr 8 18:24:35 UTC 2011 i686 GNU/Linux.

I am receiving the following error when running prelude-correlator:

Traceback (most recent call last):

  File "./prelude-correlator", line 5, in <module>

    from pkg_resources import load_entry_point

  File "/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/pkg_resources.py", line 2655, in <module>

    working_set.require(__requires__)

  File "/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/pkg_resources.py", line 648, in require

    needed = self.resolve(parse_requirements(requirements))

  File "/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/pkg_resources.py", line 546, in resolve

    raise DistributionNotFound(req)

pkg_resources.DistributionNotFound: prelude-correlator==1.0.0

Not sure what to make of this error. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Mike
