Aye, great advice. We're continually researching Open Source and 
Commercial IDS technologies and consoles. Understanding how they work 
and how they correlate information/communicate/etc helps us to evade 
them during advanced penetration testing.

I'll have a look at OSSIM too. Thanks for the heads up.

By the way, does prelude have any sort of SMS alerting functionality or 
email reporting capabilities?
