I think what this indicates is that the prelude-lml is hung up awaiting
a reply from the prelude-manager.

I think I see why the prelude-manager is not responding - if I remove
the "child-managers" listing from the prelude-manager.conf file, the
prelude-lml completes quickly. This is when the child-manager is not
online. If I ensure connection to the child-manager then it works
better.

Couple questions:
1: If the prelude-lml is daemonized anyway, shouldn't the startup
control return before this type processing occurs?

2: The prelude-manager should not block so long on unresponsive
connections. I cannot find a setting to overcome this; any suggestions?
