Greeting pig lovers, It has been a while since we last got together but I=92m real excited = about the August meeting!=A0 This month we have both a forensics demo by one = of the authors of the Hacking Exposed series of books, and a Snort high availability (cluster) demo by Anthony Ly.=A0=20 Meetings are held the 1st Saturday of the month from 10:00 am to Noon at Absolute Systems. http://www.ntsug.org/meetings.html =20 =A0 Some info on our Hacking Exposed author; =A0 Chris Davis, WW Investigations, Texas Instruments Chris Davis, CISSP, is a Computer Forensics Examiner for Texas = Instruments. Mr. Davis has worked on security projects for Gartner, Harvard, McCombs Business School, Texas Government, ISSA, CISA, ConSecWest, PlanetPDA, = 3GSM, SANS, BlackHat and others. He is a contributing author for the = Anti-Hacker Toolkit (2nd ed.) and lead author for the upcoming Hacking Exposed = Computer Forensics. He has enjoyed positions at eForensics, Cisco Systems, Austin Microsoft Technology Center, and currently Texas Instruments. Mr. Davis = was a US Navy Submariner on the USS Nebraska and the covert Submarine NR-1. = He holds a Bachelors Degree in Nuclear Engineering from Thomas Edison, and = a Masters in Business from the University of Texas. =A0 Our Second presentation; =A0 Anthony Ly Will demonstrate the high availability (failover system) using Snort and Open Source.
