Fwd: Snort3 inplace update

Just in case anyone else wonders....

Backup your config files. Download the updated code (I'm using source), and
build it as before. Then overwrite the config files with your own.

Hi all,

I've looked but can't find a guide on carrying out an in-place Snort3
upgrade. I'd like to apply v3.1.20 over the top of my 3.1.18 installation.

Can anyone provide any pointers?
