snort3/appid: How to understand 'unknown' application in Appid Statistics table ?

Hello, While looking to Appid Statistics table in snort log file I can see counterfs for 'unkown' appid. How can I understand it? Now I think of it in this way: Snort has tried to analyze traffic, but could not find any appid to match on it ?
