Hi, I've installed the latest Windows version, 2.9.20. I followed the install guide, commented out whitelist and blacklist among other things, and in the last few lines I get the error below when running it from an elevated command prompt: Initializing rule chains... ERROR: c:\Snort\rules/community.rules(1774) Unknown ClassType: misc-activity Fatal Error, Quitting.. I've checked and double checked the classification.config file and everything checks out. I apologize ahead of time if I'm missing anything. I installed the latest npcap, version 1.7, running on Windows 10 21H2. Any thoughts? FYI I have linux installed and may just run the 3.0 version from there instead.
