Problem in Snort Configuration file

Dear Team

I Have just installed Snort in one system
When i am loading the snort configuration file i am getting the
following error

ERROR: /etc/snort/snort.conf : can't load /etc/snort/snort.conf:
/etc/snort/snort.conf:2: unexpected symbol near '#'

FATAL: see prior 1 errors ( 0 warnings)
Fatal Error, Quitting..

Kindly go through this error and let me know
