Snort3 Snort2lua Issue

Howdie folks, I am having an issue running Snort2lua on multiple different installs. I am using snort3.1.58.0 and the snort install goes well, no issues. When trying to run snort2lua on any files I get error near character 127. I have confirmed that lua/luajit works on my system. When running which snort2lua, it comes back and says it is not installed either.
