Hello Sreedhar,

You need Snort3 version 3.1.82.0 at minimum to use SnortML and you are using version 3.0.0 which is outdated. Here is Talos blog<https://blog.snort.org/2024/03/talos-launching-new-machine-learning.html> explaining the inspector/model and steps on how you could create your own model.

But it sounds like error you are running into due to “insufficient resource” might not be related to SnortML but could be some other snort installation issue. Can you provide logs or error output here?

  I tried to install SnortML on my MAC and terminal crashed in compil;e/install step due insufficient resources.
So do we know what are the minimum system requirements to install/run snortML?
