For those of you unfamiliar with NSS,  Bob Walder and his team do an amazing
job.  While the TP marketing folks are working to minimize their importance,
NSS continues to perform the most exhaustive IPS/IDS testing available.
Contrary to the intimations of TP's release, they've been around for years
and are very skilled at what they do.

I've worked with them as a vendor in previous lives at ISS and IBM.  $1,800
is a bargain for independent information that you can trust.
