Pings - next-www-clients

I am seeing a bunch of pings from a small group of conterminous public IP
addresses that have an unusual string in them.

The string is:
next-www-clients

Anyone have a clue about this? I'm getting one of these every couple of
minutes. So far I don't see any likely stimulus or any notable event
correlating to the beginning of the pings. No outbound traffic went to any
of the pinger's space.
