Well, I wrote up a fix for HEAD ... but it wouldn't have dealt with multibyte
characters properly. Then UserX suggested a better fix that properly dealt
with multibyte characters (and even dealt with repeating patterns!), but he
wrote it early in the morning, so there were a few mistakes. Then I sent my
questions/comments back, and he responded, and it looks like we finally might
have a patch ready to commit to HEAD. :)
However, on my machine clock() seems to always return 0. I'm probably not
initializing it or something. (I asked UserX if that was the case in my last
email.) Assuming, that I just need to run some initialization function to get
clock() to return an accurate value, then we will probably have the entropy
problem fixed for HEAD before the meeting tomarrow night! :) (I hope. I make
NO garuntees!) ;-)
So you could say that it's doing well! :)

See y'all at the meeting tomarrow night!
(Note: Has anyone ever noticed that an American in the northern half of
America [i.e. a Yankee] will call a group entirely composed of girls, "you
guys"? I think the Southern expression "y'all" which is short for "you all"
is much more accurate ... even though I'm a good ol' Yankee!) ;-)
