	Well, I took a look at the HTML file hoping that a liberal application of 
Perl might coerce it into something more reasonable. Immediately after  
opening it, those hopes were dashed on the sharp rocks of reality. At 260K, 
this HTML file (actually it appears to be XHTML) contains a whole lot of 
seeming unnecessary junk. (I mean, do you REALLY need to go into 10 line 
detail each of about 20 FONTS!? [Fonts that probably aren't even used for 
that matter.])
	So while I think we can all appreciate the translators work, mids probably 
has a fair reason to be a little cranky.
	I don't know how well this would work, but is it possible to have the 
original Word document opened in OpenOffice and then saved to HTML there? OO 
might be a little more friendly in its output. Worst case you could always 
save it as rich text and try to use perl to translate or something. (Or even 
save it as plain text and manually put all the HTML tags back in.)
