ok. first, let me apologize.

I fucked up. On sunday, just as I woke up, I saw some mention of i2p
flash by my screen on #freenet, so I gently try to change the subject
(see: rules 1-3 of fight club). however, in my dazed state, I get drawn
into a fairly simple trap and answer some of the waaaay basic questions
people usually ask ('is it the same thing as Frost or let me do searching',
'but won't it be slow', etc).

From my logs I can see that I doth protesteth, and even though I repeatedly
said we prefer not to put out details until there's a peer reviewed spec
and code to implement it, it seems my argument was ignored.

So when I checked out s.c.u.m.'s page on freenet today, I was both suprised
and pissed (not at him) to see him mention that the person who I was
speaking with went ahead and fscking posted to http://www.zeropaid.com/news/articles/auto/08102003a.php.

I'm sorry to be able to confirm that I was unintentionally the source
of this leak. For me, absolutely no more mention of i2p - of any kind
- except on iip-dev to i2p developers until we have the 1.0alpha public
release.

% cat /dev/brain | grep -v i2p > /dev/mouth

I recommend we just let that thread on zp fade out into oblivion and
just go along our business as usual. (especially since it hits my pet
peeve of confusing "p2p" with "filesharing")

argh. this is NOT a nice way to start the day.

(to anyone who is browsing this list in response to that posting, thanks
for the interest, but we'll publicize our efforts when there's information
worth sharing. there isn't yet)
